Explain how abnormal spinal curvatures differ from one another
Lordosis
When the spine curves inward causeing a person to look as if they are leaning backward. The curvature mostly occurs in the lumbar area but the cervical vertebrae also curve.

Kyphosis
It is usually caused due to a birth defect or if the spine is fractured during an accident. The curvature is localized to the thoracic region and is refered to as a humpback curve. The upper body begins to lean forward as the thoracic vertebrae begin to bend under the stress.

Scoliosis
This is the most common spinal curvature that can be found among humans. The main causes of scoliosis can be from birth defects but can also be caused by injuries to the spine or from long periods of time with bad posture. Scoliosis literally means "crooked" and shows that the spine is bent to the left or right of its original position.
Osteoporosis
Osteoporosis is a weakening of the spine that is commonly only found in older people. After many years of wear and tear the vertebrae become weak and brittle and any sleight injuries could cause the disks to compress and create a hump in the spine.
