- The shingles have been around since the middle ages, durring this time, though, it was commonly confused with the small pox disease. _

Symptoms
Signs are usually one sided pain, tingling, or burning. After this usually red patches on the skin appear followed by small blisters. The blisters then break, forming small sores that begin to dry and form crusts, in 2 - 3 weeks these crusts fall of, but doesn't leave a scar. The rash usually is a narrow area from the spine to the stomach or chest area, but it could be anywhere on the body including the face, eyes, mouth, and ears. You could also get abdominal pain, fever / chills, general sickness feeling, genital sores, headache, joint pain, and swollen glands. Shingles could also affect the nerves in your face if this happens some symptoms you might face could be drooping eyelids, hearing loss, loss of eye motion, taste problems, and vision problems.
